Canadian Events for Spring 2018

Canada has more lakes than anywhere else, better air than anywhere else, and more Michael Cera birthplaces than anywhere else.

It is with a happy heart that I think of those, and with an even happier one that I share three Canadian events for spring 2018:

LGBTQ in Technology Meet Up

Making Space was founded with the aim of creating safer, intersectional spaces for people in tech:

Our goal is to foster inclusivity, diversity, accessibility, and representation in technology. Bringing the community together and providing a space for marginalized voices to be amplified.

This event is a chance to connect with LGBTQ+ individuals in the tech space around Kitchener, Ontario.

The venue is wheelchair accessible and will have gender neutral washrooms. And, beyond “pizza and beer,” there will also be vegan and gluten-free pizza as well as non-alcoholic drinks on offer.

Date: March 26th, 2018

Fork Smart Summit

Fork Smart caters to those who are starting or already on the path to working towards better health.

The event focus is how to use nutrition to improve your welfare and optimise your health.

Among the 12 speakers, Dr. Anthony Lim will be delivering a keynote. Dr. Lim is a practicing family doctor and focuses on the power of a healthy, balanced life.

Dates: April 27th & 28th, 2018.

MarketingTo

Hosted by TechToronto, MarketingTO brings together the worlds of technology, advertising, and marketing.

This event is aimed at brand marketers, agencies, and tech companies in the hopes that, in their coming together, they’ll learn from each others’ disciplines.

This isn’t just a one-off either. MarketingTo takes place regularly and you can keep track of the different incarnations here.

Date: April 23rd, 2018.

We like to feature at least three events we’re proud to work with at Tito every week. If you’d like to be considered to be featured, reach out to maria [at] tito [dot] io.
