Porting the Blog to Siteleaf
With this shiny new year comes a concerted effort to have the whole team at Tito blog more regularly. I was dreading this a bit.
Fitting quite neatly into the designer stereotype I often find it frustrating to use software without a GUI. Since we used Jekyll to publish our blog I tended to shy away from writing for the effort involved in publishing.
In a fit of productivity yesterday however, I decided to port our blog over to Siteleaf which is designed and built by the wonderful folks at Oak whom I met while travelling around America in 2012. I have been an admirer and customer of theirs ever since.
Since switching my personal site over to it about 6 months ago I had seen a huge increase in my willingness to write and publish so I thought I’d try to do the same with Tito.
It took me about an hour to get the bones of the work done last night and I spent this afternoon tweaking and making sure that author attributions, images, publish dates and redirects had all been brought in correctly.
Hopefully, you all haven’t noticed a thing and our blog functions just as it did before, but for all of us at Tito, things got a whole lot easier.
Expect to hear more from me in 2014.
