Conferences are built to be places where you can meet your peers. We often travel long distances to be brought together at them, but it’s a lovely surprise when the organiser makes the effort to extend their welcome to folks in a far-reaching way. PyCascades does just that.
As an effort that brings together both developers from the US and Canada, this conference for developers promises to highlight all that’s new and inspiring in the Python world.
Set in wonderful Portland, the contingent on the way to join PyCascades is made up of meetups in the region and welcome to all who’d like to accompany them.
Tickets are on sale now, with discounts for folks who don’t have the privilege of getting their way paid by their employers.
Dates: February 8th & 9th, 2020.
Location: Portland, OR.
Tickets: $200 for those whose tickets are being paid for by their employers, and $100 for those going independently.
Based on the premise that a piece of software is rarely not based on the work of others, DevOne will take place in Linz this coming April. The conference will be a celebration of open source and all that comes with it.
Settled in the beautiful region of Linz, Austria, developers can enjoy all they’ll learn and the company of everyone they’ll meet in a European Capital of Culture.

Brighton Ruby will be in its seventh year in 2020, so you’re in for a treat from a team that’s been committed to excellent line-ups and excellent fun for nearly a decade.
The Ruby community is often seen as one of the most welcoming and diverse you can come upon, and those values are always reflected in the Brighton Ruby experience.
As well as the stellar insights on all things Ruby you’ll be able to enjoy, it’s worth taking a little time to read the organiser’s reflections on why their location is so very special.
Date: July 3rd, 2020.

Sticking with the Ruby community, though travelling to the other side of the world to visit them, we come to RubyConf AU.
Boasting a mixture of local and international speakers, RubyConf AU is a celebration of all things Ruby among those who shape its ever-expanding use cases. Though the focus is on the business at hand, attendees can also enjoy splendid socials at the conference’s opening cocktail party and their closing games night.
This is another event for developers that’s been around for a number of years since their first endeavour in Melbourne in 2013, so those who’ll be headed there can enjoy sage wisdom, and the creations of a seasoned crew who know how to wow their guests.
Dates: February 20th – 22nd, 2020.
